Scope of Work:
This project includes grading and drainage, construction of a new bridge and the paving of SR 19 between Lauderdale County Line and SR 492 located in the counties of Newton and Neshoba, Mississippi. Over 2 million CY of on-site excavation are being performed. This project is one of the first projects in the State of Mississippi to be funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
This project included the movement of 2,513,150 CY of unclassified excavation (Onsite), 1,911,737 CY of embankment, 3,980 LF of storm drainage. It also involved the installation of approximately 2,000 LF of 84″ RCP at an average depth of 15′ and over 300′ of 7′ x 8′ precast box culvert at a depth of 12′. Eutaw performed 100% of this work with its own forces.
This project was the new construction of 12 miles of four lane highway. The project included 220 acres of clearing and grubbing, 2.6 million CY of earthwork, 3,500 CY of structural concrete, 2,300 linear feet of storm drain piping and 210,000 tons of asphalt pavement.
