Eutaw was awarded a contract to perform work on a 110,000 square foot expansion to the Southern Blanking manufacturing facility that will provide vehicle parts to the General Motors manufacturing plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee. The scope(s) includes 12,000 cubic yards of undercut excavation, 20,000 cubic yards of borrow excavation, revisions to the existing fire water system, installation of new sewer piping, and over 1,000 linear feet of storm and roof drain piping. The project also includes extending the existing parking lot and installing an at-grade rail crossing inside the facility.

Desoto County, Mississippi – Eutaw/Lehman Roberts Joint Venture on SR304 and I-269

The Mississippi Department of Transportation awarded Eutaw Construction and Lehman Roberts joint venture a $76,204,800 contract for subgrade preparation and asphalt paving on SR304 and I-269. Eutaw’s portion of work is $25,226,500. The project involves subgrade preparation and asphalt placement for 14 miles of 4-lane interstate construction. The project involves 550,000 cubic yards of earthwork, 530,000 tons of granular material, 72,000 tons of crushed stone base, 14,000 tons of lime stabilization, 12,600 linear feet of curb & gutter, 434,000 tons of asphalt, traffic striping, and traffic lights.

Franklin, Tennessee – Hillsboro Road Widening Phase 2

This $12 million contract involves widening one of the main thoroughfares (Highway 431) that runs through the City of Franklin, Tennessee. Heavy daily traffic volumes along with the close proximity of occupied homes and the local high school which houses over 2,000+ students and teachers make this a very challenging project. Eutaw’s scope of work includes traffic control, earthwork, paving, storm drainage utilities, and the relocation of sanitary sewer, gas, water, and communication utilities within the projects limits of construction. Eutaw’s scope also includes landscaping, hardscapes and signage, electrical, and traffic signalization.

Starkville, Mississippi – Mississippi State University South Entrance Road

This $15.2 million contacts involves the construction of 4.5 miles of a new south entrance road to Mississippi State University. The project includes 350,000 cubic yards of earthwork, 3,000 linear feet of storm drain piping, and three large concrete box drainage culverts. Also included are various removals, clearing and grubbing, erosion control, grading, asphalt paving, striping, water line, sanitary sewer line, and electrical lighting work.
